BIOGRAPHY
Cyndi Hampton homeschooled her 7 delightful children for 25 years (1994 – 2020). Each of them has launched successfully into adult life pursuing a variety of paths, but they all have a love for learning and improving themselves. During that time she also founded a commonwealth school (Polar Star) that celebrated it’s 20 year reunion in 2022. She mentored Shakespeare, Classical Acting, Heroes, and Quest 1,2,3. Not all at the same time …. but almost. She served as Chairman(10 years), primary mentor and torchbearer.
Currently she is working for Leadership Academy of Utah as their Funded Elective and Independent Studies Coordinator. (Where she is known as Cynthia, her professional alter ego) She helps families using LAU to also get credit for their outside classes such as LEMI projects.
She also serves in her community as a coordinating council member for Just Serve, a representative of Lifting Hands International and in the Wasatch Front Service Mission. She has 7 grandchildren, who are even more delightful than her children and enjoys reading to and playing with them. She has a BS(1988) from the University of Utah in Mathematics and English Literature. She had no idea what she was really going to do with her education, but clearly, she figured it out. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, gardening, and researching a myriad of topics such as, but not exclusive to, curly hair care, ancient civilizations, Christianity, and WFPB eating.
