SUMMARY:Crucial Conversations: Principles of Conflict Resolution - with KeriLyn Barr & Dina Wells
DESCRIPTION:9 am Mountain Time \nConversations play a pivotal role in conflict resolution\, serving as bridges that connect divergent perspectives\, facilitate understanding\, and pave the way for collaborative solutions. By fostering open and honest dialogue\, conversations create a safe space for individuals to express their concerns\, feelings\, and viewpoints\, allowing hidden motivations and misunderstandings to surface. Effective communication during these discussions helps to build empathy\, dismantle stereotypes\, and humanize conflicting parties. Moreover\, conversations enable the identification of common ground and shared goals\, which are crucial for forging mutually beneficial resolutions. The act of actively listening and engaging in respectful discourse not only resolves immediate conflicts but also strengthens relationships and lays the foundation for healthier interactions in the future. \nWe all deal with conflicts in our home and community.  Be sure to join KeriLyn Barr and Dina Wells to learn about the principles behind the crucial conversations of conflict resolution. \nWould you like to get access to this recording?\nCLICK HERE

SUMMARY:Mentors\, Finding Them and Being One - with Tatiana Fallon
DESCRIPTION:All webinars are in Mountain Time \nHomeschooled teenagers can greatly benefit from having mentors who provide guidance\, support\, and enrichment beyond traditional classroom settings. Here are five reasons why having a mentor is beneficial for a homeschooled teen: \n\nDiverse Learning Opportunities: Homeschooling allows for flexibility in curriculum and learning approaches. Having a mentor can introduce a homeschooled teen to a wide range of subjects\, skills\, and experiences they might not have encountered otherwise. Mentors can offer specialized knowledge and expertise that complements the teen’s learning journey.\nIndividualized Learning: A mentor can tailor their guidance to the specific interests\, strengths\, and learning style of the homeschooled teen. This personalized approach can help the teen excel in areas they are passionate about and receive targeted support in areas where they might need extra help.\nReal-World Application: Mentors often have practical experience in their fields. They can bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application by providing insights\, case studies\, and hands-on projects. This helps the homeschooled teen understand how the knowledge they’re gaining can be used in practical situations.\nCharacter Development: Mentors can serve as role models and mentors\, guiding homeschooled teens not only academically but also in terms of character development\, values\, and life skills. They can offer advice on communication\, problem-solving\, time management\, and interpersonal relationships\, helping the teen grow as a well-rounded individual.\nSocial Interaction and Networking: Homeschooled teenagers sometimes miss out on the social interactions that traditional schools provide. Mentors can become positive adult influences in the teen’s life and offer a form of mentorship that bridges the generational gap. Additionally\, mentors can introduce the teen to their professional networks\, fostering valuable social connections.\n\nTatiana is a master mentor and will be sharing more about finding mentors for your youth\, as well as being one. \nWould you like to get access to this recording?\nCLICK HERE

SUMMARY:Kent & Amy Bowler - 3 Secrets to Homeschooling Extraordinary Teenagers
DESCRIPTION:Discover the 3 surprising secrets that will unlock your child’s potential and happiness.\nJoin us for a free webinar Saturday\, May 6th\, at 9 am Mountain\, where we share the secrets we’ve discovered from research and while parenting our 7 children for over 3 decades and mentoring hundreds of youth.  There are things we do that block our ability to help them and negatively affect their progress.  And there are things we can do as parents to increase the influence we have in our children’s lives without manipulation or coercion. \nBIOGRAPHY \nAs dedicated homeschooling gurus and proven parenting experts\, our joy is found in showing the people called by God to parent the children in your home (you!) how to bring your home into harmony without pushing your increasingly independent children further away so that you can have influence in their lives. Kent and Amy have seven children\, eight grandchildren\, have been parenting for 30+ years\, and are still in the thick of it with teen #6 and an 8-year-old at home. They love spending time with their family – laughing and playing games around the kitchen table\, singing at the piano\, and hiking and biking. \nKent and Amy will be leaving LEMI after this year to focus on their Revolutionary Families.  We will miss them terribly but are so excited for them and all of the families they will continue to impact. You can check it out Revolutionary Families HERE. \nWould you like to get access to this recording?\nCLICK HERE
